Purcellville Cleanup Nets 1,500 Pounds of Trash

The Town of Purcellville is boasting yet another successful community cleanup.

The town two weekends ago partnered with Keep Loudoun Beautiful to hold the annual cleanup. In all, 200 volunteers collected 186 bags of recycling and trash from roadsides and trails, totaling more than 1,500 pounds. Helping in the effort were volunteers from local high schools, Town Council members and candidates, boy and girl scouts, business owners, church members and other community members.

Pack Rat Hauling donated a truck and two of its employees’ time to pick up the collected trash bags and take them to the recycling center and county landfill.
