Editor: As a World War II veteran, 99 years old, and a social scientist, I have been a participant in the VA programs and have experienced, as many do, so much processing delay  that it is shameful.

The people behind the White House are promoting privatizing the VA  for profit that will deteriorate all benefits for veterans.

You do not have to be a veteran to worry about the future of that organization since the mandate is to support all veterans with entitlements who deserve  compensation for wartime injuries.

Is there a fix? Yes, of course. Eliminate the politics within the VA and place the entire organization under the management of the Department of Defense with military management and a continuity of plans and procedure far away from the political scene and the money interests.
