Leesburg Couple Picks up $1M Lottery Ticket at Wegman’s

Shoppers at Leesburg’s Wegman’s store may have seen the large banner announcing that a $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket had been at that store. Last week, the winners came forward to collect their money from the May 8 drawing.

Stephen and Theresa Komlo’s ticket, with numbers selected randomly by the computer, matched the first five winning numbers, missing only the Mega Ball number. The winning numbers were 8-15-39-64-67, and the Mega Ball number was 13.

Theresa Komlo told Virginia Lottery representatives that when her husband discovered he bought a winning ticket, “He ran through the house with a look on his face like Ralphie in ‘A Christmas Story’ when he received his BB gun.”

The couple has earmarked the winnings for retirement, according to Lottery representatives.
