Middleburg’s Healthy Eating, Active Living Expo

The Town of Middleburg is gearing up for its first Healthy Eating Active Living Expo. Featuring a full lineup of speakers, exercise classes, food samples and booths, the will take place April 1 at the Middleburg Community Center.
Following a Town Council resolution adopted last year to take part in a national campaign to improve the health of its citizens, Middleburg’s HEAL program is aims to promote healthy lifestyles.
The HEAL Expo will begin with a 5K Run with proceeds to support summer camp programs for Boy Scout Troop 2950. The course will begin and end at the Community Center, featuring the beautiful countryside around Middleburg.
Following the race, the public is welcomed into the Great Hall to peruse the booths provided by Gentle Harvest, Native Barre, The Village Backsmith and Angela Nunez Yoga and others. On the lower level, there will be 20-minute sample fitness classes starting every half-hour. Speakers will host talks in the Garden Room starting on the hour, discussing topics including nutrition, gardening and fitness routines.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community center is located at 300 W. Washington St.
