CBS Video: Loudoun Fifth-Graders Weigh In On Trump

Loudoun County elementary students got to weigh in on the 2016 presidential campaign, and what they had to say made national news.

CBS News visited Middleburg Community Charter School Monday and asked the students what they thought about the election cycle, the candidates and the name calling that has come along with it.

Anchor Chip Reid asked fifth-graders at the school whether any of them would vote for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump if they were old enough. Not one hand went up.

Why? One student, Max, explained, “Because of how mean he is.”

They also offered thoughtful insight on the other candidates. Watch the full report here.
