Large Crowd Gathers for Trump Rally in Ashburn
Thousands of people—both supporters and protesters—have descended on Briar Woods High School in Ashburn in anticipation of a visit from Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump.

While protesters wave at honking traffic, a line of supporters hoping to attend the rally stretches around the building—a crowd far bigger than can be accommodated in Briar Woods High School’s auditorium. Security to get inside is tight, with dogs, body scanners, police, and secret service. The back rows of the auditorium already are crowded with cameras and media—local, national, and international.
Trump supporters dressed in red are occasionally breaking into chants of “Trump,” “U.S.A.,” “lock her up,” and “build that wall.”
The rally is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
