Editor: As a Loudoun native and long-time Leesburg resident, I’m writing today in support of Crescent Parke.
Over the years, my stance has shifted from anti-growth to wanting to ensure that the changes made provide excellent value to the residents of our county and our towns. Change is not “coming” to Loudoun, it has arrived, and we all should all work toward beneficial change.
I feel that maintaining the Olde Izaak Walton League property as a town park is a huge benefit, and I appreciate the dual access from Davis and Gateway drives. The Crescent Place community off Harrison Street has shown that people are clamoring for in town living, and has done so, I believe, in a way that blends into the town. I’d certainly rather have homes where people are invested in and investing in our community, rather than another commercial behemoth in its place.
