Today’s drizzle didn’t deter the shoppers at the Leesburg Saturday Farmers Market.
The market goes rain or shine and promotes local, sustainable and organic agriculture. Its goal is to provide economic opportunities for farmers and small food businesses, offer experiential learning about and access to healthy local foods, and build a vibrant gathering place for residents and visitors.
The Leesburg Farmers Market started in 1994. Due to its popularity and loyal following, the market became year-round in October 2006. See its full schedule at loudounfarmersmarkets.org/markets/leesburg-saturday.
