The Loudoun County Amateur Radio Group is offering its annual class this weekend to help area residents qualify for their Technician Class license.
The free program has room for 70 participants and is open to all ages. The training is geared toward those who want to learn how to use ham radio for fun, disaster preparedness, and security.
The program concludes with a license test, administered by the Red Cross for the cost of $15. The training is such that almost all who participate in the program leave the weekend with their license from the Federal Communications Commission.
