Just days after winning Virginia’s top wine award, the Fialdini family on Saturday night will quiet the celebration at their Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards to create a listening-room environment for Grammy winner Jon Carroll.
Saturday’s show is the season finale for the Songs Stories & Gas Money concert series.
The former Leesburg resident—and still frequent Leesburg visitor—has a storied career as a performer and songwriter. At age 18, he was a founding member of Starland Vocal Band, best known for the hit “Afternoon Delight.” The group was nominated for five Grammy Awards, winning two. His songs have been covered by artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Tom Jones and Kenny Rogers. He’s the long-time keyboardist/vocalist with Mary Chapin Carpenter’s band and has toured with countless others including Rodney Crowell, Dixie Chicks, Peter Wolf and Eric Lindell. He has more than 20 Washington Area Music Association Wammie Awards.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for mixing and conversation, concert begins at 8 p.m. sharp. Wine and light fare available for purchase.
