Born Wednesday, June 19, 1929 in Los Angeles, California, he was the son of the late Forrest Franklin and Grace Elizabeth (Green) Warren. He was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Warren Manheim.
Lee grew up in McFarland, CA. and attended Bakersfield Jr. College and Fresno State College at Cloris. He was accepted into the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California and graduated in 1952. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air force during the Korean War and proudly served his country for four years as a control tower operator serving in Okinawa, Japan and Andrews Air Force Base MD. He became Managing Director of the Williamsburg VA Chamber of Commerce from 1961 to 1965.
In the Late 1960’s he joined the Federal Aviation Administration and was a Flight Services Specialist in Elkins, WV and at the Leesburg Flight Service Station Leesburg Municipal Airport on Sycolin Road, SE before his retirement in 1994.
He was an avid supporter and volunteer of the Leesburg Senior Center and briefly served as Vice President before moving to Morningside House in 2014.
He is survived by daughter Margaret Warren Quinn (Glenn) of Oakton, VA three grandchildren: Kristin Anne Quinn of Fairfax, VA Kevin Warren Quinn and Kyle Patrick Quinn of Oakton, VA, two nephews and a niece. He will be greatly missed by his family and grand dogs, Bella and Julie who always enjoyed visiting him.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2017 from11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
