Loudoun County Public School has cancelled all student activities planned to be held at the schools for the evening and announced that schools will be closed Tuesday.
The special meeting of the School Board will go on as scheduled Monday night.
Forecasters, in general, continue to debate how far south the line of heavy snow will reach, but the latest prediction is for 8 to 12 inches between 7 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday in Loudoun.
The School Board could make a decision as early as this evening about whether to reinstate Dominion High School Principal John Brewer. Board members called a special closed session meeting, where they are expected to discuss the situation. Superintendent Eric Williams has recommended the principal be fired; Brewer has obtained legal counsel in his appeal. The final decision is the School Board’s to make.
