Attorney General Candidates Debate in Loudoun Friday

The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce will host a debate between the two candidates for Virginia Attorney General on Friday, Oct. 20, at The National Conference Center in Lansdowne.

Incumbent Mark Herring (D), of Leesburg, is challenged by Republican John Adams.

Chamber President and CEO Tony Howard will moderate the debate, with a panel of three business leaders posing questions to the candidates. They are Maggie Parker, vice president of communications and community outreach for Comstock Partners; Stacey Miller Metcalfe, director of government and community relations for Inova Loudoun Hospital; and Lisa Hooker, assistant vice president of public relations for NOVEC.

While the questions the candidates will be asked haven’t been shared, we do know Herring will be the first to answer. The Chamber held a coin toss Oct. 12 to determine speaking order for the debate. Adams won the toss and elected to go second.

Tickets to attend may be purchased online at, or at the door on the morning of the event. The debate also will be streamed live of the Chamber’s Facebook page.

Will Barbara Comstock campaign for our republican candidates or will she take a knee, again?

Why do the People have to pay to see a debate between two candidates?
