Loudoun County farmers who sell Christmas trees or holiday floral products can get a boost from the Loudoun Economic Development this season.
The department is urging agricultural producers to apply for inclusion in its annual marketing brochure.
To apply, submit a completed participation form by Friday, Oct. 25. The form is online at biz.loudoun.gov/TreeApp.
Christmas in the Loudoun Valleys 2017—Guide to Trees, Greens and Holiday Floral Products will feature Loudoun farms where customers can cut their own trees or buy evergreen wreaths and poinsettias. The guide will also include a map of participating farms, plus a tree-care guide with recycling tips, and information on fun activities taking place this holiday season in Loudoun.
“Loudoun farm businesses offer about 200,000 Christmas trees for sale starting in November, and are a strong piece of Loudoun’s holiday season economy,” said Economic Development’s Executive Director Buddy Rizer.
The printed guide will be available at libraries and participating farm venues, as well as online at loudounfarms.org.
