The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office seized drugs, firearms and cash from a Sterling apartment Wednesday as part of an investigation conducted by the agency’s Tactical Enforcement Unit.
On Jan. 10, the deputies executed a search warrant at a Shady Point Square residence, taking one quarter pound of marijuana, approximately 3.5 grams of cocaine, $17,415 in cash and two handguns. One of the firearms had been reported stolen from another jurisdiction.
Prior to that search, deputies arrested Lavonte L. Masunda, 32, during a traffic stop in the area of Church Road and Cascades Parkway.
Masunda is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, four counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of cocaine.
Masunda is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
