Editor: The most recent distribution of racist fliers around western Loudoun County is telling.
On the one hand, the perpetrators of this act must realize that there is no place for their hatred in the light of day. They again hid, perhaps appropriately if not symbolically, beneath the darkness of night to spread their hate.
On the other hand, a diverse range of Loudoun’s leaders have stepped up publicly and unequivocally on social media and in real time to affirm the best of our society’s values.
Thank you to Loudoun leaders Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk, Leesburg Town Council member Ron Campbell, and U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Comstock for your clear and unequivocal statements condemning the hatred espoused by these cowards.
