Loudoun County is hosting open houses on the Rt. 15 Safety and Operational Study on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10. The public is invited to view information from the study and provide comments on initial concepts that are being considered for the corridor between Whites Ferry Road and the Maryland State line.
The first session will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center in Leesburg. The second session will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lucketts Community Center.
Last May, the Board of Supervisors directed the staff to conduct a study of the safety and operational concerns on Rt. 15 between Whites Ferry Road and the Maryland state line to identify possible improvements. The county has gathered public input and an analysis of the existing conditions has been prepared. The open houses will let the public make their preferences known for the northern segment of Rt. 15.
An online survey will be provided for anyone who is unable to attend a session in person. The survey, and more information about the study, will be available at loudoun.gov/Route15. The survey will begin Monday.
