Eyes were widened and aspirations were sparked on Friday, as hundreds of elementary school students learned about different career paths.
Leesburg’s John W. Tolbert, Jr. Elementary School career day featured 23 business professionals representing multiple work fields, including the police force, real estate, automotive repair, veterinary medicine, journalism, the FBI and the U.S. Navy.
Presenters went from class to class throughout the school day to talk about their jobs. Students from kindergarten to fifth grade listened, asked questions and took part in a few exercises.
