Washington Property Company has started construction of a 67,000-square-foot medical office building directly across Rt. 50 from the StoneSprings Medical Center hospital. Two medical care providers and a pharmacy already have leased space in the building, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
Located near the southwest corner of Rt. 50 and Stone Springs Boulevard, the three-story medical office building will feature a dedicated specimen room and floorplates and ceiling heights that are ideal for medical office use. Virginia Pediatric Group,. Jackson Clinics, and Royal Care Pharmacy have signed on as the first tenants.
WPC acquired the 8.4-acre development site from Van Metre Homes in 2016. The project’s overall development cost, including land acquisition, is about $21 million.
