The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at an Ashburn home.
The investigation began when a man who had been shot was dropped off by acquaintances at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne. The acquaintances attempted to leave the area but were located nearby, according to the report.
The victim was being treated for injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting is believed to have occurred inside a residence in the 43500 block of Dunhill Cup Square shortly before 5 a.m. April 22.
According to the early investigation, it appears the victim and the suspect are known to each other.
