Leadership Loudoun Prepares for Class of  2019

Applications are being accepted for Leadership Loudoun’s class of 2019 through May 31. Leadership Loudoun is a nine-month leadership development program targeting emerging leaders to strengthen the county.

Leadership Loudoun will hold an open house for those interested in learning more about the program and meet some of its former graduates at 6 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Leesburg Junction, 215 Depot Court.

Through monthly classes on Thursday evenings from September through May, Leadership Loudoun’s program develops current and emerging leaders in Loudoun County to work together to make a better community. Each class is made up of about 24 participants from the corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors. Highlights of the program include understanding and developing leadership skills, investigating issues facing the community, and generating creative solutions through an interactive think tank activity.

“Loudoun is growing and needs strong, effective leaders. As the county’s premier leadership development program, Leadership Loudoun provides those who live or work in the county an opportunity for personal and professional development, community awareness, and civic service,” stated Leadership Loudoun President Scott German. “We look forward to welcoming a new class of leaders.”

Since 1991, more than 500 business, government, and nonprofit leaders have graduated from the program and have contributed over 25,000 hours toward finding creative solutions to issues that impact the county.

The cost is $2,500 for applications submitted before May 31, and $3,000 for those submitted after that date. Learn more and apply at leadershiploudoun.org/how-to-apply.
