After four years at the Waverly Mansion, Loudoun Pilates is expanding to a new space in the Virginia Village Shopping Center.
The move is the culmination of owner Amy Hershey’s nine years of teaching. A graduate from The Pilates Center’s 950-Hour Advanced Teacher Training Program in Boulder, CO, she is an expert in her field having completed The Kathy Grant Heritage Training Program. She also holds a certificate as a Specialist in Pilates-Based Exercises for Neurological Conditions. Earlier this year, she founded Pilates for Lyme Disease and hopes to fill a need providing a platform for individuals with Lyme to help alleviate symptoms in the muscles and joints, as well as educational opportunities for Pilates teachers to learn protocols for working with students with Lyme.
There will be a grand opening ceremony Saturday, May 19 at noon, with free 20-minute mini-demo classes starting at 10:30 a.m. The studio is located at 36-B Catoctin Circle. Learn more at loudounpilates.com.
