Each year the nonprofit Loudoun Library Foundation provides extra funding to support special programs at libraries throughout the county. Most of that money comes from the massive annual book sale, which this year will be held June 22-24.
Foundation volunteers are collecting donations for this year’s sale. Each Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon through June 9, donations of books, DVDs, CDs, and video games can be dropped off at Rust Libraryin Leesburg or at the former PTEX building, at203 E. Holly Ave. in Sterling.
The sale will be held atSmarts Mill Middle School in Leesburg, opening at 9 a.m. Friday, June 22.All proceeds fund the Summer Reading Program and other LCPL activities throughout the county.
