Runners Raise Money to Support Boulder Crest Mission 

Murat Kayali, of Washington, DC, set the pace in Monday morning’s Ringing in Hope 10K race at One Loudoun. The annual Memorial Day event drew more than 1,000 runners and raised money to support the Boulder Crest Retreat in Bluemont.

Kayali crossed the finish line with a time of 39:05. Lilly Metcalf of Ashburn was the top female finishers in the 10K race, completing the course with a time of  44:33, just ahead of Erica Cline of Leesburg.

In the 5K race, Daniel Umana of Ashburn crossed the finish line at 17:33, almost a full minute ahead of the second place runner. Elizabeth Clor of Chantilly was the top female finisher, with a time of 20:32.

The Boulder Crest Retreat provides treatment to military veterans and first responders coping with traumatic stress.
