The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center invites job seekers to attend its Employment Connections panel from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Rust Library, 380 Old Waterford Road in Leesburg.
The employer panelists will share information regarding their organizations, job requirements, candidate qualifications and interview tips. The moderated panel discussion will be followed by informal networking with the employers over light refreshments. To wrap up the event, attendees will be offered individual resume critique sessions with one of the panelists.
The featured employers are in the fields of local government, health care, property management, staffing, construction and assisted living. They include: the Town of Leesburg, I-CARE Home Healthcare, American Pool Enterprises Inc., Environmental Enhancements Inc., Manpower, Select Construction Company, and Ashby Ponds.
The Employment Connections event is free and open to the public. Space is limited, so those who want to attend are asked to register at loudoun.gov/wrcworkshops.
Free preparatory workshops are offered by the Workforce Resource Center in advance of the event. Registration for the following can also be found at the loudoun.gov/wrcworkshopswebsite. The workshops are: “30 Second Commercial” at 9:30 a.m. June 1, “Networking Fundamentals” at 1:30 p.m. June 1, and “Interviewing Styles” at 2 p.m. June 5.
