Round Hill Opens Applications for Treasurer, Planning Commission

Round Hill is working to fill two positions in Town Hall.

The town accepting applications for the position of treasurer through Monday, July 9. Responsibilities include depositing and investing town revenue, managing financial records, budgeting and auditing and managing staff and other human resources-related duties like payroll and benefits.

Applicants must have at least seven years of experience in accounting practices and procedures, HR and staff supervision and should have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Knowledge of Southern Software, QuickBooks and Microsoft Access, and Excel is a must.

The Town Council also is seeking to fill a vacant seat on the Planning Commission. Applications will be accepted through Friday, July 13 at 4 p.m. To be considered, applicants must be town residents and should have an interest in land planning and zoning.

Mayor Scott Ramsey and town staff members will review applications before selecting finalists for interviews. The first meeting for the new planning commissioner will be in September or October. Commission meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., with occasional special work sessions held as needed.
