Sheriff’s Office Transitions To New Ashburn Substation

In preparation for the planned July 23 opening of the Sheriff’s Office Ashburn Station in One Loudoun, the current University Station located on Research Place will close to the public on Monday.

The Ashburn Station will serve the second largest population of all of the station areas in the county, with more than 94,000 residents in the service area. It’s second only to the Dulles South Station in population.

The Ashburn Station is one of four Sheriff’s Office community substations. The Dulles South Station, collocated with Fire-Rescue Services in South Riding, opened in 2007. A stand-alone station in Sterling opened in 2011. The Western Loudoun Station near Round Hill opened in 2016.

A formal dedication ceremony and public open house will be held at the new Ashburn Station in late summer.
