With Sam Finz retired from his role as Lovettsville’s town manager since the beginning of June, the town continues to search for his replacement.
According to Acting Town Manager Harriet West, the Town Council has interviewed two candidates for the spot, in addition to two candidates to fill the role of interim town manager. West said that if the council decides to hire someone for the interim position, he or she would remain in the role for at least three months, by which point a permanent town manager should be hired.
With only one Town Council meeting scheduled until September, the council may have to call a special meeting some time during the first week of August to make an appointment. “We’d like to get somebody on board soon,” West said.
