Ashburn Woman Finds Burglary Suspect inside Home

Authorities spent much of last night looking for a burglar who was discovered inside an Ashburn home.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a woman called dispatchers at 9 p.m. to report that a man was inside her Bittner Square residence. The suspect entered the home by breaking a basement window.  The man fled from the home. It was determined that he had attempted to break in to two other homes on the street.

The suspect was described 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.

The area was searched with the assistance of the Virginia State Police and the Fairfax County Police Department. No suspect was located.
