The 30th annual Leesburg 20K/5K race, benefiting the Loudoun County YMCA and Loudoun County high school cross country teams, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in front of Tuscarora Restaurant, 203 Harrison St.
The 20K will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 7:48 a.m. A free kids’ fun run of about 100 yards will be held at 7:55 a.m., immediately after the start of the 5K race. Residents and drivers should expect rolling street closures on areas of Harrison Street, Catcotin Circle, Dry Mill Road and South King Street between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
