Ashburn School Lends Hand to Hurricane Survivors

The students, parents and teachers at Creightons Corner Elementary School in Ashburn got to work this week to help victims of Hurricane Florence.

Creightons Corner Principal Chris Knott, who previously served as a principal in North Carolina, asked the school community to drop off donated cases of water. Together, they donated 100 cases.

The bottles will be loaded onto pallets and into the WGTS 91.9 semi-truck, that will deliver the water to Harvest Hope Food Bank in Greenville, SC, which has experienced catastrophic flooding, power outages, and damaging winds delivered by Hurricane Florence.
