The deadline for students interested in applying for a nomination by the 10th District Service Academy Advisory Board to one of the nation’s military academies for the class of 2023 is approaching.
The deadline to formally request the board’s nomination is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, according to the office of Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA-10).
Applications may be mailed or hand delivered to Comstock’s Sterling office at 21430 Cedar Drive, Suite 218. Interested students may request an Academy Nomination Application from Comstock’s website at https://comstock.house.gov/services/military-academy-nominations. The selection process is competitive.
“There is no doubt that the students of the class of 2023 are leaders to those around them,” Comstock stated in a news release announcing the application deadline. “Courage and honor are the pillars that these students exemplify as they forge their pathway to service. This year’s 10th District Service Academy Advisory Board will have their work cut out for them as they review this year’s applications.”
