Letter: Robert Ehinger, Leesburg

Editor: Hmm …Barbara Comstock can get all self righteous and indignant about sexual harassment when it’s Harvey Weinstein and Sen. Al Franken, pretending to care about women’s rights.
But, when it’s her friend, Brett Kavanaugh, accused of serious criminal activity against multiple women, Comstock is suddenly dumbstruck and won’t interject even the mildest concern.
Apparently, she is only interested when the accusations regard Jewish men and Democrats.
Disgustingly political.

No, you are being political. There is absolutely no evidence. I repeat ‘no evidence’ that Judge Kavanaugh ever assaulted anyone. Even what he is accused of by Chrissie Ford (apparently a doctor but only in her own mind) amounts to no more than teen age groping and from looking at the Halston Arms yearbook it looks the females in her era were as much engaged in such behavior as the boys. I imagine you never engaged with any of that your entire life with either sex; if so your hormones are missing? If there was an ounce of evidence maybe we should listen to the hysterical democrats who aren’t interested in anything else but retaining their dwindling power. By contrast there was and is ample evidence of at least the appearance of possibly criminal conduct by Mr Weinstein though he is being given the benefit of the doubt and a trial. With Mr. Franken there was also evidence and he never denied the accusations as Judge Kavanaugh has. It is also remarkable that you didn’t think to mention Bill Clinton who had to leave Oxford although a Rhodes scholar because of accusations of rape and sexual assault and was credibly accused of assaulting Paula Jones, Juanita Broderick, etc.? How about Ted Kennedy who abandoned a young women to drown when he was a senator and while his wife was pregnant? Is that enough evidence for you? I worry about what kind of society we are becoming where accusations with no corroborative evidence are allowed to go forward for political ends. Shame on the democrats and their leaders for doing this to all of us.

    “Serious criminal charges” huh? Wow.

So any woman can come out of the woodwork and make accusations against you, Robert, with absolutely no evidence or eye witnesses, and you are automatically guilty of “serious criminal charges”?

You sure better hope you don’t ever find yourself in that situation, Robert, if that’s the new standard.
