Fairfax Christian School Girls Volleyball Team Finds Early Season Success

The Fairfax Christian School Girls’ Volleyball team is picking up where it left off from last season’s third place finish. The team is off to a 6-2 record in varsity competition so far this season.
Coach Thurston is quick to point out that these young ladies get full credit for the successes they have had. “These hardworking athletes play at a high level and their sportsmanship and dedication to one another are a joy to behold,” he said.

Team captains—Noelia Velasquez and Margret Grigsby—have a competitive determination and camaraderie that has been infectious and their record reflects it. Nataly Rojas, the Cardinals freshman hitter, leads the team with the most aces and most kills.
