The BRAINing Center will conduct a live demonstration of POWER BRAINing, a group-fitness class that helps seniors enhance the performance of their brains and bodies at the same time on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Tribute at One Loudoun, from noon to 1:30 p.m. as part of the “Lunch and Learn” series.
Attendees will learn about senior brain health from Mike Harrigan, CEO of The BRAINing Center. They will then have an opportunity to participate in a 25-minute POWER BRAINing demo class.
One in three people 65 and older fall each year, and 20-30 percent of those accidents result in serious injury or death. While physical weakness is part of the problem, slowed cognitive function is a major contributor.
POWER BRAINing targets peripheral nerve systems throughout the body, as well as neuro-systems in the brain, to enhance cognition and physical performance. Training is done in a group-class format by a certified instructor.
Tribute at One Loudoun is located at 20335 Savin Hill Dr. in Ashburn.
