Deputies Seek Suspects in Sterling Mugging

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying two suspects involved in a robbery in Sterling last week.

The incident happened shortly after midnight Wednesday, Oct. 10. Two men approached the victim as he was sleeping near the 22000 block of South Sterling Boulevard. One man woke the victim, demanded money and went through victim’s wallet and pockets, taking a cell phone. The second man allegedly assaulted the victim before fleeing across the street.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 17 to 20-years-old with a medium build. He was further described as clean shaven with short dark colored hair.

The second suspect was described as being of mixed race with a light complexion, 17 to 20-years-old, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall with dark spiky hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt with 3/4 length sleeves and black jogger-style pants.
