Supervisor Koran T. Saines (D-Sterling) is partnering with Enroll Virginia to hold a health insurance enrollment fair on Sunday Nov. 18 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sterling Library, located at 22330 South Sterling Boulevard, Suite A117.
Open Enrollment for the Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace began on Nov. 1 and runs through Dec. 15. Enroll Virginia will be providing a certified in-person navigator who will guide applicants at no cost by appointment. The navigator will review plan options, assess if an applicant is eligible for a tax credit to help with premiums and out-of-pocket health care costs.
To schedule an appointment, call 540-741-2447 or email email@example.com.
“Health insurance should be available to every Virginian,” Saines stated. “Health insurance is vital for people of all health statuses. Being covered allows people to get preventive care, receive medical care to manage chronic conditions, and have the peace of mind of knowing they are insured in the event of a medical emergency.”
Saines also commended Enroll Virginia: “Enroll Virginia is a valuable partner to help guide people through this process.”
Saines plans additional health fairs in December, January, and February. The fairs in January and February will focus on Medicaid. Those unable to attend an enrollment fair can schedule an appointment and get help at HealthWorks’ locations in Herndon and Leesburg.
