Woodgrove Championship Celebrated with Parade

A week after bringing home their first state championship trophy, the Woodgrove High School football team was celebrated with a parade through Lovettsville on Sunday. It was a little too wet for ticker tape, but the players were escorted by crews from the Lovettsville Volunteer Fire Department down Broad Way where pockets of spectators gathered to cheer them on. While it was the school’s first football championship, it was not the first state title. The softball team, which has won three consecutive state tiles, also joined the parade.
