Supervisors Get Committee, Regional Appointments

Supervisors have their assignments in and out of the county boardroom going into the last year of their term.

There are no changes to Board of Supervisors leadership or committees this year. Supervisor Ralph M. Buona (R-Ashburn) has been re-elected vice chairman of the board. He will continue to co-chair the Joint Board of Supervisors-School Board committee, Supervisors Geary M. Higgins (R-Catoctin) and Chairwoman Phyllis J. Randall (D-At Large) also serving on the committee.

Supervisor Matthew F. Letourneau (R-Dulles) will again chair the Finance, Government Operations and Economic Development Committee, serving with Randall, Buona, and supervisors Tony R. Buffington (R-Blue Ridge) and Koran T. Saines (D-Sterling).

Supervisor Geary M. Higgins (R-Catoctin) will again chair the Transportation and Land Use Committee, joined by Randall and supervisors Ron A. Meyer Jr. (R-Broad Run), Kristen C. Umstattd (D-Leesburg), and Suzanne M. Volpe (R-Algonkian).
