Lovettsville-based singer and songwriter Teddy Chipouras’ monumental year recently capped off with a first place award for his talents.
The Songwriters’ Association of Washington awarded Chipouras, 21, with first place in the Young Artist category of its 2018 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest for his song, “The Ghost.” The selection comes from a panel of 70 judges, eight of which were Grammy winners. He will be honored at the association’s awards gala on Sunday, Jan. 20 at Gypsy Sally’s in Georgetown.
Chipouras, a media arts and design student at James Madison University, was also featured on season 14 of “The Voice” and released his first full-length album last year. Chipouras also released an EP titled “Rolling Hills.” Both are available on iTunes and Google Music.
