Early mornings at One Loudoun aren’t working out well for the Washington Redskins these days. On Saturday morning, team video assistant Jack A. Gruden, son of head coach Jay Gruden, was charged with being drunk in public after being involved in a series of verbal altercations.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy on patrol at 2:15 a.m. observed a verbal argument between Gruden, 22, of Leesburg, and another man. After they separated, Gruden walked after the man to continue the confrontation. The deputy intervened and the two parties were separated. Gruden was later involved in two additional confrontations with customers in the area.
Gruden was charged with drunk in public. He was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
The incident comes weeks after safety Montae Nicholson was charged with assault, after a fist fight on a One Loudoun street was caught on video at 2 a.m. Dec. 18.
