Loudoun’s newest—and only—professional soccer team is slated to hold its first scrimmage tomorrow afternoon.
Loudoun United FC will play fellow United Soccer League Championship team Bethlehem Steel FC at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 at Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg. All Loudoun United FC players, excluding midfielder Omar Milton Campos, will compete in the scrimmage.
While this will be Loudoun United FC’s first preseason game, it will be Bethlehem Steel FC’s second. The team lost to Major League Soccer team D.C. United 1-0 on Feb. 2 in Clearwater, FL.
Loudoun United FC’s first game of the season will be held on Saturday, March 9 against Nashville SC in Tennessee.
