Sugarland Elementary has been named a 2019 Model School by the International Center for Leadership in Education.
The designation recognizes the school’s rapid and significant improvements in student outcomes. It is one of 18 Model Schools from across the United States. Principal Gail Brady and here staff will share the story of their efforts during ICLE’s Annual Model Schools Conference in June.
Selected annually based on a number of criteria, Model Schools must have substantive, data-validated growth year over year; evidence of a strong culture that puts students at the center of learning; and dedication to transforming instruction to meet the needs and demands of the future.
“At Sugarland Elementary, we believe in transforming schools, not students,” Brady stated.
