Sunday’s Leesburg Career Expo looks to be one of its busiest yet.
Economic Development Director Russell Seymour excitedly reported this week that demand for exhibitors has been so high for the 7th annual Career Expo that town organizers have had to create a waitlist for space. Pre-registration for attendees is also more than double last year’s count.
More than 75 local businesses are expected at the Career Expo, which runs from 1-4 p.m. this Sunday, March 10, at Tuscarora High School.
Aimed at high school students, college students, and recent graduates, the Career Expo offers job seekers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with prospective employers from a variety of industry sectors including retail, sales, hospitality, technology, trades, recreation, and more. Available positions include full-time, part-time and seasonal, as well as entry-level salaried positions and internships. A full list of participating employers can be found at leesburgva.gov/careerexpo. Many employers will be hiring on the spot.
Job seekers are encouraged to skip the registration line at the event by pre-registering via the website. Attendees should wear business attire and bring copies of their résumés.
