Sheriff’s Office Investigates Assault at Sterling Nightclub

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred inside a Sterling nightclub early Sunday morning.

According to the report, a woman reported that around 1:30 a.m. April 14 man grabbed her and began kissing and groping her while they were along the stairs inside Rio Cantina at Towncenter Plaza. Twice the man pulled her into a private room inside the establishment. He began sexually assaulting her inside the room, but left when after it sounded like someone attempted to open the door.

After the incident, the victim notified her friends and the staff at the Rio Cantina. She then left the area with friends and later contacted the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5-feet, 7-inches tall, with a stocky build, weighing approximately 200 pounds, with black wavy hair, brown eyes, and freckles around his eyes and nose. He was wearing a denim shirt with white dots, light-colored jeans, boots, and a gold or silver chain around his neck.
