Elementary Schoolers Fuel Up to Play 60 at Redskins Park

About 100 elementary schoolers from across the region found themselves working up a sweat competing in nutrition-themed games with a few Redskins players Friday morning.

Students from nine elementary schools, eight from Loudoun and one from Maryland, visited the Washington Redskins practice dome in Ashburn to participate in the Fuel Up to Play 60 initiative—a student-led, in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Football League and the National Dairy Council that encourages kids to eat nutritious foods and exercise for at least 60 minutes each day. The event was organized by the American Dairy Association North East and the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.
