The second suspect in last month’s robbery at the Sugarland Drive 7-Eleven store is behind bars.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Abdul R. Abid, 25, of Herndon, was taken into custody May 10 as part of the ongoing investigation. Detectives arrested the other suspect, Zian Rehman, 19, on May 2 on Brookfield Circle in Sterling.
During the April 25 robbery, the suspects entered the convenience store around 12:40 a.m. and walked around the front counter. The men threatened to harm the employee if he called the police. No weapons were displayed during the robbery.
Both men have been charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, grand larceny and wearing a mask in public. They are being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
