Truck Crash Closes Sycolin, Shreve Mill Roads

Emergency crews are on the scene of a dump truck crash on Sycolin Road south of Leesburg. The road, between Loudoun Academy Drive and Gourley Transit Drive, is expected to be closed to traffic for several hours.

The truck crashed near the Sycolin Creek bridge and was leaking fluids that required the response of hazardous materials teams.

To accommodate the work of response crews, Shreve Mill Road between Sycolin Road and the Dulles Greenway, also will be closed to traffic until the scene is cleared.

The roads are expected to reopen around 3 p.m.
