According to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell, at about 9:55 a.m. the driver of the truck, which was eastbound, lost control when a tire failed. The truck overturned on the embankment on the side of the road. The driver, an adult female, was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor.
The accident temporarily closed Rt. 7 eastbound. As of 11 a.m. the road has been reopened to one lane, and first responders and a wrecking crew are at work cleaning up the scene of the accident.
