Letter: Ellie Lockwood, Ashburn

Editor: I just have one question, if the Leesburg Town Council is going to issue a “proclamation” shouldn’t the issue be debated until all the council members agree on the wording and the appropriateness?

That clearly isn’t what happened in this instance.

There is no reason for Councilman Dunn to resign, there is reason for the mayor and the majority of the council to conduct business in a more democratic way.

Sorry Ellie, all or nothing is not how government works.

In these cases, Dunn could have chose to not sign the proclamations – instead, he took the childish approach and is being call out for his actions.

BTW – your opinions of Leesburg matter little to us here just as my opinions of (C)Ashburn matter not at all to you.

Why a proclamation that was not unanimous?
Bad business by a partisan hack Mayor who could of issued this from the Mayor of Leesburg but choose to use the entire “Leesburg Council” instead. Dunn broke no laws, lol!
This is Loudoun Now not Leesburg Now so keep up the good work Ellie Lockwood.
Leesburg had a goal of how to make Kristen Umstaddt look good and they did by electing Burk1
